SGCM invested in: Centice Corp (Series E, USD 9.86M, Mar 2013 + earlier debt round Jul 2012), FiberZone Networks (USD 12M round led by SGCM, Aug 2011), Advanced Diamond Technologies (Series D USD 5.2M led by SGCM, 2011; convertible note USD 0.84M, Dec 2013), Innolume (EUR 6M, 38% stake, 2008), Bisant (Series A USD 0.59M, Jun 2014), Competentum Group (via S-Group Ventures). S-Group Capital Management is a Moscow-based venture capital fund founded 2007 that co-invested with QWave Capital (Kouzmine/Beloussov) in Centice Corp, FiberZone Networks, and Innolume. S-Group placed its partners Yakushev and Gabidullin on the boards of these portfolio companies alongside QWave's Creer and Kouzmine. Mordashov, the majority shareholder and CEO of OAO Severstal and ZAO Severgroup.' Managing Partner Vladimir Yakushev and Partner Aidar Gabidullin both graduated from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) and hold INSEAD MBA degrees, suggesting coordinated recruitment. Yakushev was formerly executive director of Severstal-Resource. The firm invested in US/European technology companies (Centice, Spectralus, Advanced Diamond Technologies, FiberZone, Innolume, Nano Optic Devices) and is now listed as 'no longer investing.'
